Double reeds resonate much more in the skull, not the sinus mask. Your internal resonance will be different as well. Aperature size controls dynamic change and tone color on the flute. There will also be an adjustment from you using your lips to control the pressure for pitch to using your air speed and direction. Embouchure might be a little difficult as you will need to learn the proper shape for flute. You’ll want to fight it at first, but flute cannot be fought or it will sound gross. You’re going from playing a very resistant closed-ended pipe system to an open-ended pipe system.
Going from oboe to flute will be a little rough.
